Thank you for your patience and trust in Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants. At Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! we are taking precautions to ensure you remain confident in dining with us and feel safe in how we operate our restaurant.

Steps we are taking include:
Dine-in services remain at reduced capacity with our new AIRPHX Air Filtration System • introduced disposable and digital menus • masks are worn by all employees at all times • continue employee temperature check upon their arrival to work at the restaurant • maintain thorough sanitation procedures and continuous hand washing

For your health and safety, our policy is that all guests must wear a mask when entering, exiting and moving about the restaurant, and interacting with staff. As we see COVID restrictions eased at the federal, state, and local levels, we look forward to making more changes to our protocols that will benefit both our guests and employees.  Thank you for doing your part to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

We’re Making Dining Indoors Safer

Our top priority remains our commitment to providing a safe, clean, and healthy experience. That is why we are excited to implement technology developed by AIRPHX into all Lettuce restaurants nationwide. After extensive research and with the advice of experts, we’ve concluded that this is the best system for us.

How It Works

AIRPHX features “cold plasma” chambers intended to kill harmful airborne and surface organisms throughout the day. Used in hospitals, healthcare facilities, Olympic training centers, universities, and more, it eliminates 90-98% of influenza, coronaviruses, norovirus, hepatitis, salmonella, listeria, e.coli, and more than 30 common bacteria and viruses both in the air and on surfaces.

This is just one more important step that we are taking to continue improving health and safety measures in our restaurants, and we want to thank you for your continued confidence in us.

Our Story

When Founding Chef Gabino Sotelino first pitched the idea of traditional Spanish small-plate dining to Lettuce Entertain You in 1985, there was nothing else like it in all of Chicago. Sotelino took pride in representing the culture and gastronomy of his home, going to great lengths to achieve authenticity – even having a wood-burning oven flown in from Madrid. Now over 30 years later, current executive chef Eric Jorgensen holds true to Spanish traditions, while at the same time continuously renewing the menu with modern techniques.
